Interactive installation ›Vowels‹

The sonett ›Vowels‹ by the French poet, Arthur Rimbaud, explores the fundamental elements of language. Abstract, phantasmagoric images are assigned to the vowels and build the background to the animated typographical interpretation of the sonett. Images, typography and sound together build a magical experience that corresponds to the effect of the poem.

The installation was presented during the first ›body as interface‹ exhibition in 1999. The exhibition ›Body as Interface‹ in the E-werk, Weimar, was the first exhibition of student work from the Bauhaus-University Weimar in Germany devoted entirely to the discussions and research of interactive new media. Developed and presented in 1999.
